The Highway to Holiness
Only for the Ransomed

Isaiah 35, 8-10
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And
The Ransomed of the LORD
shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
way far er n. One who journeys.
resting secure upon a mountain
high above a deep vast wilderness
I gazed beyond death valley
to a land called sweet holiness
on the other side Jordan
stretched a land rich and flowing
with the “promise of the Father”
bid a pilgrimage worth going
I climbed down from my comfort
to the cold dark depths below
and alone in the midnight
One met me I didn’t know
He had been there before
and He knew the way well
so I followed ever closely
as He led me thru this hell
twas a time I couldn’t stand
and He waited thru my rest
twas a time I had to crawl
but His words were, “do your best”
with fleeting life I reached Jordan
and at water’s edge I stooped to cry
when my new Friend lifted me up
and carried me across a river dry
Galatians 4:1-5
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
What we are seeing here is the race for the prize, so run, that you may obtain!
I Corinthians 9: 24-25
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
