Mark 13:22, For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Every soul in hell, and every soul who will ultimately end up in hell share one clear-cut typical man-made blunder; they simply made a mistake. A terribly horrific mistake, but none-the-less a mistake. One mistake would be to disregard the way of salvation Jesus Christ prepared for sinners but, I believe, an even uglier and far, far more serious mistake would be to think you were prepared to only learn at the judgment seat of God you had been deceived.
The Bible has forewarned us, along life's way we will encounter false prophets or false teachers who, if not detected, can mislead us. Matthew 7:15, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. We must not think false prophets are such as the likes of the infamous David Koresh or Jim Jones (no relation to author) of Guyana, for these are not wolves in sheep clothing but are wolves in wolves clothing.
Today there are far more false prophets than true servants of God. As warned, false prophets are everywhere. You could never visibly detect a false prophet. These prophets of Satan are as disguised as his whispers of death are subtle. False prophets are in actual fact one of us. I John 2-18:20, Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
The most treacherous false prophets can be high in principals, tall in character, moral in conduct. They can be generous with their love, their friendship, their prayers, their help in time of crisis. They can prove their loyalty and service to the church. No neighbor could be greater, no brother closer, and no partner more dependable. This is what makes these flawed, misguided and mistaken spiritualist such a danger.
Only God's true servants are equipped with the knowledge to discern these false prophets. And how does God's people do this? By knowing what the word of God says. Our hope is obtaining, by God's word, the knowledge to compare the truth to a damnable lie!
II Peter 2:1-2, But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
False prophets, with few exceptions, will be astonished to learn, as they stand before judgment, that they were false prophets. As they will cry out, “Lord, Lord,” they’ll discover their unrighteous works on earth has wrought them an additional penalty for each poor soul they lead astray. Surely Eve was as convinced, in her deceived heart and mind, that the word of God was incorrect and the word of the serpent was correct. False prophets are born of disbelief. Their teachings or works are typically founded upon an experience with a dead (fleshly) church, not the living God.
Because of Christ, nothing is more simple to recognize than a false prophet, to those who believe His word. To those who have been given the gift to hear. John 10:26-27, But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
See and know for yourself how simple it is, with the word of God, to identify false prophets, that is, if you believe God's holy word.

I Corinthians 6:9, Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:
Only two basic biblical classes of human beings exist: righteous and unrighteous. The degrees either way are endless but, however, there are only these two. The righteous are born of the spirit, the unrighteous are born of the flesh. We are one or the other.
Who Are the Unrighteous?
Romans 6:20, For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. Free from righteousness leaves only unrighteousness.
Who Are Servants of Sin?
John 8:34,
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.If your church is telling you, you are an heir to the kingdom of God, but yet, you know in your heart and mind you are 'still' a sinner, or unrighteous, congratulations, you have just discovered a false prophet.
It's not all or nothing as false prophets teach, look to God’s word and grow on the sincere milk He left for you.
I Peter 2:2, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
False prophets work against God’s word and foolishly stand in opposition to Christ, thus they are, in actuality, antichrist.
Believing a lie is one thing, teaching it is yet another. Be sure what you tell others is the word of God, not the word of man.
Only God's true servants are equipped with the knowledge to discern false prophets, as it is God's word alone that makes His true servants. Attempting to be a Christian without the word of God would is attempting to get into heaven without Jesus!
Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.
False prophets are false Christians who mistakenly spread their errors or lies. Be sure what you say is the Gospel! But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Matthew 5:37
Spreading the Gospel without first-hand knowledge of the Gospel is a mistake.
